The Heart and Hands Behind the Drill

Hey there, I'm Alyssa - but you can call me Lyss, Mom, Babe, or even "That Tik Tok Girl". More than titles, I'm a person fueled by faith, a love for Dr. Pepper, and an unyielding drive to create. My DIY journey began with a simple table for my then-boyfriend, now husband. It was a journey filled with mistakes, tears, but most importantly, triumph. That first project sparked a fire in me, and since then, there's been no looking back. I'm here to share my passion, inspire your creativity, and guide you through every cut and nail.

Fun facts:

When I was 8 years old, I joined 4H and showed pigs, steers and sheep until I was 21 years old. I was also my chapter secretary of my local FFA (Future Farmers of America) program.

I originally was going to go to school for swine management and then two weeks before orientation I applied to cosmetology school.

I almost died while on a mission trip when I almost fell into a glacier. Luckily I was able to barely catch myself with my hands and pull myself out.

When I was 21 years old I was swimming across a lake at our summer cottage and I lost all my hearing in my left ear for two weeks.

I tripped my freshman year of high school and tripped face first and hit my teeth on the tile while trying to be cool in front of some senior boys.

I'm very competitive and I've played soccer for 25 years and love it!
